The park, established in the historic environment of the Cistercian Abbey in the style of an English garden, is the highest-lying wooded collection in Hungary, – at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. In any season, it provides a magnificent sight, a pleasant refreshment. In the spring, the fresh sight of ornamental plants and perennial beds planted on the shores of the fish pond, the thousands of shades of green in summer, the juggling smell of linden trees, the splashing of the Cuha stream, the warm brown-yellow color in the autumn, the snow cover covering the branches in the winter, the crushing gizzards, will make the visitor feel like a fairytale world.
The foundation of the “woody garden”, located on 20 hectares, also called the English garden, dates back to the second half of the 18th century, where in a beautiful natural environment you can often meet representatives of the beetle and insect world typical of Bakony, in addition, deer and squirrels may accompany our garden walk.
